Modifications To Consider Before Lift Installation
This installation is to be considered a residential wheelchair lift, which is not subjected to most commercial wheelchair lift requirements. The only modifications to the existing structure will be to re-direct the duct work to allow for the width of the lift shaft, cut two openings, one for the upper and another for the lower door, and open a space in the ceiling to allow for the framing of the lift elevator shaft.
