Enjoyed speaking with you yesterday concerning acceptable load capabilities and safety issues with my recent order. Safety is one of our primary concerns as well, and we have expressed those concerns to our body shop, whom we had contracted to install the Class II receiver on the 2005 Chevy Malibu. The owner of the business, Rusty, agreeded with your assessment 100%. He explained that because of the design of the Chevy Malibu frame, that he would not recommend reinforcement of the frame, saying that the welds attaching the steel to reinforce the frame would compromise the frame at the welds. So the Chevy Malibu is not an option for transporting the Power Chair.
I measured the receiver on my wife's 2011 Toyota 4 Runner, it is exactly 18" to center. Therefore we would appreciate if you would process our order for the lift at this time.
We are going to replace the Chevy with a vehicle that will meet the load capabilities to safely transport the Power Chair. I hope you won't mind if we contact you before purchasing the replacement vehicle, to make sure that there are no safety issues.
We really appreciate your time and consideration with assuring that your power chair lift meets our needs, and addressing the related safety issues with the vehicle load capabilities. Your commitment to customer safety extends above and beyond the norm. You also saved us from installing a receiver on a vehicle that would not work. I would like to thank you and Mr. Brown for your excellent service in getting the AmeriGlide vertical platform lift delivered to my parents house in Salamanca, New York in time for our working vacation this past weekend. Your 9-day turn-around was remarkable. As you can see by the attached pictures, we were successful in getting it installed for our mother. In fact, we picked the lift up at 10 a.m. Friday morning and had it in place and operating by 6 p.m. that evening. Saturday we installed a permanent GFSI receptacle and finished the trim on the old porch. My 78-year old mother was overjoyed to know that she wouldn't ever have to climb the back stairs again and my 81-year old father was impressed how perfectly it fit in the limited available space. Now, even if either of them becomes wheelchair bound, they are set for life with easy access to their home. It brought them both to tears.
Thank you again for helping us provide the needed special access to my parent's home.

- First Baptist Church Carlisle, KY I also wanted to give you some good news about the chair lift we had installed in November. It has been a true Godsend. On one Wednesday evening, an elderly gentleman fell at the bottom of the stair and they had to use the chair to get him to the top for the ambulance. Everyone who has used it has seen and realized it was long overdue. The congregation knows your name and company well.
